About FODASA

Fodasa LogoThe Foundation for Organ Donation and Sarcoidosis Awareness (FODASA) was formed by survivor Steve Hilfiker after receiving a life-saving heart transplant.

At FODASA, we are dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals battling chronic diseases such as sarcoidosis, cardiomyopathy, and cancer. We specialize in creating powerful awareness campaigns that not only educate the public but also advocate for patients awaiting life-saving organ donations.

FODASA is advancing our mission to promote awareness for organ donation, sarcoidosis and cardiomyopathy. Our tools in this effort include books, films, events, and social media.

Any funds raised by FODASA are specifically allocated for use by FODASA to advance our mission.

Today, Steve and his wife, Kim, travel the eastern U.S., conducting film festivals and Nights of Hope events at medical schools, hospitals, and churches. In these events, the couple shares messages of hope and faith, and promote other liked-minded organizations that are gaining ground in early detection and other medical advances.
